O2 Media’s The Balancing Act on Lifetime with Craig and Cindy Sherman

The Balancing Act | April, 11, 2012 | by

The following segment aired on O2 Media’s “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime Television. Joining “The Balancing Act” was Craig and Cindy Sherman. This married couple was here to share their secrets to keeping romance alive and tell The Balancing Act Lifetime viewers all about Couples Tower Isle.

O2 Media’s The Balancing Act Host, Marybel Rodriguez: Times may be tough, but romance doesn’t have to be. Here on “The Balancing Act”, we meet one happy couple who shares their secrets to keeping romance alive. They’re going to tell us all about the getaway that keeps them going strong.

O2 Media’s The Balancing Act: Craig and Cindy Sherman married in 2000. It’s the second marriage for both of them, and they say the second time around is working. Why is the second time better for both of you?

Craig Sherman: I think that because of our past relationship and marriages, we knew what we wanted out of a spouse. We made sure that we made time for each other. We really, really enjoy that together, whether it’s here, or especially in Jamaica at Couples.

O2 Media’s The Balancing Act: Couples Tower Isle is the all-inclusive adult couples-only getaway the Sherman’s can’t wait to get to each year.

Craig Sherman: I wanted to do something that was adult-based; no children, and go away for a long weekend and just be romantic – doing something different. So, I looked online and booked it. Being at Couples together is like being in Heaven. It’s so relaxing.

Cindy Sherman: It’s just beautiful – just the sunset, the sunrise, the smell of the ocean. It’s a big difference from a regular, so-called vacation. We, like many of “The Balancing Act” viewers travel a lot, and there hasn’t been a place where they offer the romantic private dinner on the beach the way they do at Couples. It’s just so personal. It’s just – it’s beautiful.

O2 Media’s The Balancing Act: The folks at Couples Resorts in Jamaica are so serious about romance. They even have a chief romance officer on the job.

Cindy Sherman: Couples features four unique resorts, each with their own ambience.

O2 Media’s The Balancing Act: Tower Isle, formerly Couple Ocho Rios, just finished a $30 million renovation, but the friendly faces remain the same.

O2 Media’s The Balancing Act: Also, Couples Sans Souci is built on cliffs with a natural mineral-springs pool and Couples Swept Away is on the famous seven-mile beach in Negril.

The Balancing Act on Lifetime with Totsy

The Balancing Act | April, 09, 2012 | by

The following segment aired on “The Balancing Act.” Joining the show was Diana Dornan Heather from Totsy.com.

The Balancing Act: Well, listen up moms, this one is for you and you and me and all the moms out there. Here’s the deal, we are so busy trying to balance everything, right? Our work, our kids, our families, and of course, our schedule—so, it can sometimes feel beyond hectic. Well this morning, we are going to introduce you to a company that has all the answers to help you lead a smoother life and, get this, on a budget. Love that. Here with me this morning on The Balancing Act is Diana Dornan Heather, the chief mom at totsy.com, to talk about making smart purchasing decisions for the entire family. Morning to you, Diana, so good to see you.

Heather: Thank you for having me, good to see you, too.

The Balancing Act: And you know what, you’ve already helped me because this is something we were talking about—we are CEO’s of the household, are we not?

Heather: We are absolutely in charge of our household!

The Balancing Act: In charge of the households, but I think I like your title better, ’cause you call yourself “chief mom.” I love it, what do your kids think of that?

Heather: Well, you know, the president of our company actually came up with it and it stuck. Now my girls are a little too little to understand. They’re one and two, but I’m really trying to convince my husband.

The Balancing Act: How’s that one going over?

Heather: Not. Kind of haven’t really completely convinced him to call me “chief mom” all the time.

The Balancing Act: But here’s the thing, and you know this— as moms who are trying to balance it all, you know we have to take care of everything and it’s tough when you work or even if you’re not working to try to find the time to get out there and go to the malls and shop.

Heather: There never is any time, and all moms struggle with this, I believe. I know every friend I’ve talked to has the same issue: you want to get home to your kids, to spend quality time, or the mall isn’t open when you have time to go, so we solved that problem at Totsy. Shop on-line and the great thing about it is you can do it anytime that fits into your schedule. And we send you a daily e-mail with the new top brands that are on sale. We send it at night and we’re offering it all at between forty and ninety percent off.

Reviews

The Balancing Act Gave Us Kid-Glove Treatment Our segment aired again on February 7th, and I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the piece. The Balancing Act team that shot the b-roll with me on vacation was fantastic; professional creative and friendly. What impressed me most of all was the flexibility the on-camera talent and in-studio team showed. Post-production, The Balancing Act social team worked with mine to help us make the most of our appearance. I couldn't ask for more.
The Balancing Act Rating: 5 out of 5.
